Ramesh, a former bank clerk, dedicated his retirement to empowering his village’s children through education. He converted his own house into ‘Pathshala’, a free education center, in 2005.

Today, ‘Pathshala’ educates over 300 children from Barhampur and its neighbouring villages. Children who were once without hope are now dreaming of becoming engineers, doctors, and teachers. Ramesh’s efforts have not only provided education but also a direction for these children’s futures.
