Unsung Hero: Raghu’s Revolutionary Elderly Assistance

🌱 Meet Raghu

Raghu, a 23-year-old from Chennai, has been a beacon of assistance for the elderly in his community. After noticing that many seniors in his neighbourhood were struggling to navigate the digital world, he decided to take the initiative and help.

💡 The Initiative

In 2020, he voluntarily started giving computer and smartphone lessons to the elderly in his community. In his free time, you’ll find him teaching the basics of email, video calls, and online shopping. His simple, patient, and understanding approach has made it easier for many seniors to bridge the digital divide.

📍 The Impact

Raghu’s initiative has already impacted over 200 elderly people in his community.

  • 100% of the seniors he taught are now able to connect with their loved ones over video call.
  • 75% are now shopping for groceries online independently.
  • 50% are now using emails to stay informed and connected.

His story is a beautiful reminder of how simple acts of kindness can have a profound impact.

🌼 The Bigger Picture

Volunteering initiatives like Raghu’s not only assist those in need but also foster a sense of community and solidarity. Raghu’s dedication and selflessness inspire us all to make a difference in our own way.
