Saalumarada Thimmakka is an environmentalist from the state of Karnataka, India. Born in the 20th century, she spent most of her life selflessly serving Mother Nature. Without expecting anything in return, she planted and nurtured 385 banyan trees along a 4-kilometer stretch of highway between Hulikal and Kudur.
