🌱 What Happened
Meet Ravi, a humble rickshaw puller from Lucknow, who has been illuminating the minds of hundreds of children in his locality. Despite his limited resources, Ravi started a free education initiative under a tree, teaching the kids from the neighborhood who couldn’t afford to go to school.
💡 Impact
Over the past five years, nearly 200 children have benefitted from Ravi’s initiative. He has also managed to inspire other locals to volunteer their time to teach the children. The community now fondly calls the tree ‘Akshar Vriksh’, the tree of letters.
